I GOT APPROVED!! OMFG! I just left Japan to permanently come back home full of the snot crying and stuff when I said goodbye to him at the airport.

Hang in there everyone!!

Oh and once again, I DID NOT GET AN EMAIL NOTIIFICATION!

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Not sure,last time I called back in Oct(like around Oct 20th)they said it was at NBC.

I gotta wait two weeks to see the mail.

9/29/06 - Started dating my husband (LDR For 5 years after 6/07)
8/22/12 - Married in Japan
10/10/12 - I-130 Sent (Japan Post)
10/12/12 - Received at Chicago Lock Box
10/15/12 - NOA1(no email, had to call and find out and recieved the hard copy 10/22/12) case at NBC
12/14/12 - NOA2(no email once again,randomly checked it online)
01/07/13 - NVC Case Received
01/25/13 - Case Number assigned and AOS fee billed(somehow NVC didn't write down the proper emails for my husband and I )
3/06/13 - AOS invoice paid!(more like the 4th,when they withdrew the money!)
3/04/13 - DS-3032 email sent
3/13/13 - DS-3032 replied to
3/14/13 - IV invoice billed
3/16/13 - IV invoice bill paid
3/19/13 - NVC withdrew my money(waiting for the PAID STATUS)
3/24/13 - IV invoice officially paid
4/03/13 - Sent AOS and IV (without PCC....doh!) package via next day mail
4/04/13 - AOS & IV Package received
4/16/13 - AOS accepted(found out by phone april 17th)
4/17/13 - NVC wants PCC(found out via phone)CHECKLIST!
4/18/13 - Sent PCC with checklist (cover letter, etc) next day mail
4/19/13 - PCC delivered
4/30/13 - Case Complete(Lord, PLEASE!!! LET ME GET IT BY THE END OF APRIL!!) #### YEAH!

5/16/13- Package left NVC for Tokyo(I assume it will get there in 3days)

I'm trying not to get too hopeful, but an approval before mid-January would rock my world. :whistle:

The little details:

  • ~15 October: Posted I-130 from Switzerland to Chicago Lockbox
  • 29 October: I-130 NOA1 with MSC receipt number
  • early November Posted I-129f from Switzerland to Texas Lockbox
  • 15 November I-129f NOA1 with MSC receipt number
  • 23 November I-130 "your Alien Registration Number was changed"
  • 15 December I-130 MSC# finally online, in "Initial Review"
  • 27 December I-130 NOA2

NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.

We have an MSC number also and we can now see our case status online. It says

"On October 30, 2012, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

What kind of notice it could be? :(

07/06/2012 - Married

10/26/2012 - Our I130 package sended via FedEx 2 Days Delivery

10/30/2012 - NOA1 receive date by USCIS

11/01/2012 - Email Notification for NOA1

11/06/2012 - Hard copy of NOA1 received via mail

01/xx/2013 - Called USCIS and learned that our file was transfered to a local office

We allready got our I-797c for our NOA1 by mail. Was that mean our file could be transfered or it refers the same notice we received allready :(

It refers to your notice you already received. They are just saying "yep we sent it to you". It's nothing new or special. They will send something to you if you're approved or get a RFE.

I see this too. On the I-130 there is a field for the spouse's Alien Registration NUmber (section C, item 10). We left it blank as do do not have one. Did you as well? If so then I think it is safe to assume that the USCIS has assigned an Alien Registration Number early on in the process and that is what the above message means. Therefore I'm interpreting it as a good sign. :)

We also filed an I-129f (for the K-3 path) but that MSC number is not showing up online. You?

Our lawyer filed our petition and as much as I remember the field for Alien number was filled, So I'm not sure why they would change it, I'm starting to think it has something to do with us filling for I-129F (K3) if you go on the K1 forum you'll see that almost half if not more of the people that have filed for K1 got the same message as we did, but they're saying that some of them got an approval in a matter of week or two after receiving that message online so let's keep our fingers crossed our timelines are pretty close to each other too, my priority date for I-130 is Oct 25 and Nov 8 for k3. If you see any change in your status please let me know, I will do the same :)

ps, my k3s MSC number is also not showing up online
