Ughhhh I got all the way to the Tier 2 hold que and sat for over 45 minutes. Somebody gets on the line and says because of the hugh volume they will call me back in 48 hours or I can call again Thurs or Friday.....45 minutes on hold to be told this??? sheesh!

I'm glad I didn't bother calling today then - it would have used up a chunk of Skype minutes!

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Called last week - 45 mins wait and managed to talk to an ISO saying 5 to 6 months for the I130. I am devastated, as we filed in a way consistent with 2/3 weeks reply on I130; however, they transferred the case to NBC and no update on website. We have a MSC 13900XXX nbr as others here do. I am married to USC for 17 yrs; have 3 children, all USC.

I had a GC which I had to abandon as I've been out of the US for many years. I have a job offer which subject to GC which I'll probably lose if it takes this long to process. I have submitted for consular processing. I am feeling a bit stressed!!

They appear to no longer be expediting people who live overseas with their spouse (we are going on 2+ weeks and no sign of an expedite). See this thread about the new MSC processing times:

Thanks Nola...I'm in Norway by the way. Yes, it is starting to dawn on me that the two weeks does not apply (NoA1 Oct 10), but I had to change pants after they commented 5/6 months for I130. Seems the timelines are all over the board.

We called Customer Service the other day and after waiting 50 minutes we got to speak to a nice woman who confirmed that our case is at NBC and not yet assigned to an officer. It doesn't look like cases are at local offices, just NBC. She also mentioned that the official processing time is 5 months but then she said 4.5 months is a more accurate average. Btw we called the 1 800 number using Google because they allow free calls to 1 800 numbers! So no need to pay for it guys :) It's really nice if you are calling from outside the US and its also easier to wait all that time with a computer call instead of using the phone. Hope this helps someone :)

USCIS I-130 Petition for Spouse

September 2012: Filed from abroad to Chicago Lockbox

4 days later: NOA1, Routed to California Service Center

7 days later: Transferred because of new jurisdiction

5 days later: Case Status changed to: Under processing at USCIS office

NOA2 arrived 78 days after NOA1 :)

*I-130 Approval Notice hardcopy finally received in Pakistan, the only notice that arrived.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Other people have called and found out which local office their petition has been sent to. Also there have been RFEs from local offices. So some cases are at local offices and others are at NBC.

Right now VJ is giving me an estimate of 70 - 76 days. I'm also doing my own math and it seems that the average for NBC is around 65 days. The problem though is that we don't have enough cases to have really reliable stats.

So, if you still haven't done so, pleease :time:
