What worries me is the almost million people who applied after the OBAMA law regularizing the people who have been in the US at age 16... it seems this is why the workload has been transferred to NBC... which tells me we might experience longer times:-(

Not to get everyone worried but when a lawyer said he could not take my case because of the workload the Obama law created and because of the article above, I start thinking we might be up for a bit longer times...

hopefully not!!!! :-)

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Well I think that any conclusion from the article I posted would only be speculation. I just felt it was worthy information to have. In one way more employees would be good, but they are looking at a hiring of time over a period of 10 months, so thats not good news really for us, but maybe for future VJ's. If this was the private world, I would be jumping up and down, but transition in Government, I never have found to be very good. I think the OBAMA actions are certainly not going to help us either. I know they are saying it will not take priority on us, but it is still a huge burden on the current resources for just intake and moving files around. I guess we are all just still in the same situation...WAITING and HOPING!

Agreed, although considering that us getting MSC numbers will get transferred to local offices, it will speed up the process considering the MSC transfer process is only a few months old, before it gets a backlog like the previous methods.

Check this link out... USCIS Office Reopening If my case was already sent this way, I wonder if it made it there in one piece... I know the NYC offices are downtown, and it's a mess there... sad.gif Now i'm super worried, going to call to check on the status on monday!

The deferred action cases are staying at WAC and EAC (California and Vermont) and these other cases (our casefile type)

are being sent on to MSC. So far, MSC to local USCIS thingie has been fast - with 6 casefiles found in the timeline function here

where

it was 2 to 3 months from that 'MSC notice' ..

I pray that MSC to local office trend continues , 60 to 90 days on approvals for our casefile type. That would so, totally, rock..

Darnell If we are being sent to local offices it looks like we are both in the Dallas/Irving office and I am about 3.5 weeks ahead of you by PD Date so I am curious to see how many people are sent to Dallas and approved and so far I have not seen any. Have you?

I wish we knew what exactly is happening!

How were you notified that it went to a local office? Was it snail mail or e-mail?

great question - I've been told to send a postal letter an inquire. I'm drafting a complete expedite request today to go into that letter, as well. Sheesh. Massive disconnects, IMO, so far.
