So USCIS has now told you that he case has not left the local office yet? Can you make an infopass at that office to find out if your case is still physically there?

You can turn to your congressional liaison and the ombudsman. They can help you figure out where the case is and get it to the right spot!

help plz.. how to contact them? mine is already 42 days by email or we should call them?,nvc didnt receive our papers yets..hubby called uscis and they make a transfer request..

Our senators are John Cornyn and Ted Cruz. I found the immigration staff at John Cornyn's office to be professional and friendly. I don't trust Cruz on immigration matters.

It took longer than that for my papers to get to the NVC. Houston sits on them.

You must go to the website, download a privacy form, and fax it to their office along with a statement of your case and what you need them to do. I also faxed a copy of my NOA2. They cannot communicate with you about the case or do any work for you until they receive that privacy form and the other information. They may not respond directly to you until they research the case and get information for you, which could take a week or two. They might call you with questions or a response. It really depends on what they find out and what they can do. If they can verify that the case was sent to the NVC, they can get the batch number and call the NVC to find out whether it was received. They cannot force the NVC to receive a file that is still in transit to them.

Sheesh, after all this chasing I did, on this expedite for medical reasons, the approved casefile is still sitting at the local office.

Spoke with my congressman's ILS human, she's gonna start a new inquiry for me, to see if it can be sent out asap.

grrr.

Happy Wednesday !!!

Good luck, Darnell. The immigration staffers are usually really decent folks.
