If your wife has received orders to deploy or PCS then you can request a military expedite to speed up the process to have the beneficiary arrive in time for outprocessing.

Met : March 2012 in Afghanistan

Married : August 22,2012 in Belgium

USCIS

Califonia Service Center

Sep 24,2012 - I-130 send to Phoenix Lockbox

Sep 26,2012 - I-130 NOA1

Oct 04,2012 - I-130 case transferred from CSC to NBC Missouri

Oct 10,2012 - I-130 case transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Jan 23, 2013 - I-130 approved!!!

Jan 28, 2013 - NVC received case

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Am I the only one starting to think us petitioners living abroad kinda shot ourselves in the foot using our foreign address?

So far ppl getting approved that didn't have an expedited request were transferred out of NBC to their local field office from the Aug and Sep filers as well.

However I have yet to see someone who is at NBC from after Aug 15 get an NOA2 =/

I know November just started but....meh...maybe I'll start worrying when December rolls around.

I am in the same boat as you ... :\ I sent an expedite request for an emergency case and I don't know when they will let me know if I am approved for it or not... :( I hope it goes fast cause we need to be in the US soon!! :(

Hi November filers !

My story : i have filed as a LPR on May 5, 2012 and have been upgraded to IR-1 on October 22, 2012 after getting USC.

Currently, waiting response back on NOA2.

Is there anyone who also become USC recently and upgraded their case to IR-1?

Relax, Nov did just start, it could be just around the corner. We're in uncharted territory I suppose.

I sure hope not. If I get stuck here for another 10 months I'm going to have a meltdown. :crying:

I'm an October Filer too but mine seems to be having some issues. We posted it from Australia on the 5th of Oct to the Chicago lockbox and we are still yet to receive out NOA1. We called and spoke with someone at USCIS and we aren't on their records yet...they've said that Hurricane Sandy has slowed them down but I see a lot of other October filers have received their NOA1's without an issue....should I be worried?

That's what I am beginning to stress about. We sent it via registered post which we were told had a greater guarantee of it arriving.

There's no tracking number or anything you can follow up with?

There's a receipt number but when I check the postal website they said they don't scan it once it leaves the country. I didn't know that when I sent it. I have scanned copies of everything that we sent so I will call the USCIS again next week to follow up and ask if they recommend me resending the petition.

I was able to enter my Danish post tracking number on the usps.gov website. Have you tried that?

You are AMAZING!!! Seriously, if I could reach out and hug you right now I would! It worked! It said that they attempts delivery but was unsuccessful but a note was left. A bit difficult to do at a PO box address I would assume. Should I contact USPS and give them the physical address fr the Chicago facility?
