This is for folks with interview in Mumbai/Delhi, India

Do we have to make appointment at OFC prior to Immigrant Visa Interview for Fingerprinting?

Anybody who has interviewed recently at Mumbai?

I haven't had my interview yet (it's next month), but I've read Mumbai consulate reviews by people who were interviewed there. You don't have to arrange for fingerprinting at an OFC. It seems it's all done inside the consulate building. I haven't booked anything at the OFC since it's all done just before the interview. I was a bit confused about it too earlier, until I read the reviews.

I think OFC is not ready for full operation yet. I assume they are working out some bugs/kinks etc. Until its ready you get Fingerprints at US Consulate. for Mumbai anyway.

Today I went to Ahmedabad VFS to inquire about this and passport delivery estimation.

They said we do not have to take any appointment for OFC, it will be done in the consulate. Also she said if your visa is approved, generally it takes 3-4 working days for the passport to be ready for pick up; however, with these changes in worst cases it can take maximum 7-10 working days.
