I'm on B1 status and my I-94 will expire on 6th non'12. I got an I -20 for the spring season '13.

My question is can apply for the status to F1 in the last week of oct'12 or first week of Nov'12 . How muct chances do I have of getting approval and if it gets rejected what will happen to my B1 visa which I have for ten years, will it gets cancelled?

Can you please suggest me the best option available for me.

Thank you.

As you are here to undertake Business do you not have a job to go back to?

Usually the F1 only "activates" a maximum of 30 days before classes start so it's unlikely you can go from one right to the other.

So if I understood you right, you will be out of status until your school starts ? Best option for you is go home then.
