Hi Guys...

I have a quick question I am currently finishing college and my husband is living in a different state. I have no idea what address I should use to fill the forms.

I am currently living with other roommates but I will be moving to a different place in November for only another 2 months and I don't know if they send any kind of

mail/notification to my address too or only to the petitioner's (my husband). My husband said I should use his mom's address do you think I might have any problems

if I use her address since she lives in another city also?

Thanks so much!

That is a little bit confusing but I would use the address you'll be living together after you graduate.. if it's the same he or his mom currently lives at.

If you are going to be moving to different addresses it will most likely you will miss/loss correspondence from USCIS. I would, in you case, use your husband's family address. Would even be recommended, for you to change your mailing address to your in-laws home..

Good luck

I think the best thing for you to do is use his mom's address in that case you don't have to worry about not receiving correspondences. When you guys settle into your own space you always have the option to do a change of address

I think the best thing for you to do is wait, if possible, until you have stable address or start living with your husband. The G325A specifically asks for addresses where you have actually lived. I don't know if you can use addresses where you have never lived in that section. You can probably indicate addresses where you are not currently residing as your permanent address but in that case you will have to be consistent and have the same address listed in your drivers license and other official documents. If I were you, I would either speak to a competent immigration attorney or would book an infopass appointment and ask these questions directly to an immigration officer at my local USCIS. Good luck!!

I was thinking to put my husband's address as my current address in all the forms because I will be moving around for the next 3 months until I finally move in with him at the end of December and then on G-325A I will list all the last addresses I had including where I am actually living right now and I was thinking to include a letter explaining the address situation that since I will be moving for the next 3 months I rather use my husband address for mail purposes. Do you think I would have any problems with that??

I am a bit confused. Do you intend to fill out G-325A in December AFTER you have moved in with your husband? You are required to fill out G325A at the time of filing. If you don't do that, you will get a RFE which will delay your process. Why not just wait until December? Its just 2 months away.

No. I am filling all the paperwork now but I am NOT currently living with my husband and I am moving to different addresses for the next few months for that reason I was asking what address I should use when filling all these forms. I don't want anything to be sent to the address I'm living right now because as I said I will only be here for few more weeks. I will only move in with him at the end of the year when I graduate from college. I do not want to wait because the process takes a long time and I need to have everything ready as soon as possible so I can start working. Right now I have my husband's address listed as my address in all the forms because I prefer they send any notification to his address and to justify that I thought to include a letter explaining this address situation. On G325 is a little different because ask my addresses for the past 5 years so on that one I am actually including the address I am currently living. My only question is if you think I will have any problem of using my husband address as my current address for mail purposes or not?!

My wife filed for me. She and I live in different states. I listed her address different than mine. Notices such as biometric appointment, interview appointment and NOA for I485 came to my address. The only thing that was mailed to her was NOA for I130. You will also get all the notices that pertains to you at your current address. The only thing that your husband will get at this address will be NOA for I130.
