Seems some are saying they are getting closer to the 5 month mark for processing...let's hope they keep speeding up!

All is well....gas is INSANE...lines miles long. I finally got power back today...it's been really crazy esp with the temp dropping to 30 at night. Everyone I know is safe though! :)

My power was delayed bc of an endangered species of owl in a tree they needed to knock down. Had them scratching their heads for a couple of days trying to figure out what to do with the little guy. lol

Anyway...hope everyone on here is well and distracting themselves during the wait!

Glad you guys are safe and that you got to spend extra time together. How did Andrews arrival go? I fly out to see my fiancé in 2 weeks and getting a bit nervous about the whole being let in thing.

He has NO PROBLEMS at all. They guy just asked him the usual questions..and then told him not to do anything "crazy" while he was here "like get married". Andrew was honest and told him that we have a K1 in process so there is no rush. He answered everything honestly...and the guy was fine. It was fast. :)

Hi guys just wanted to let you all know I arrived safely in the US yesterday and now I get to spend 2 weeks with my amazing fiance! Passing theough customs couldn't have been easier, i think I'm still in a state of shock! I had come armed with documents to show my intent to go home after my visit, I approached the guard who took my passport, he then asked me to put my hand on the scanner took my picture and stamped my passport! As he handed back my passport he asked why was I going to that particular town as there's nothing there and I said its where my fiance lives, he laughed and said he thought that was a good enough reason. He then asked me what food Scotland was famous for and this resulted in a 2 minute conversation about exactly what goes into haggis!! He then wished me a happy thanksgiving and a safe onward journey!! Can't believe I wasn't asked anything until after I had my passport back and then the 2 things he asks are a bit random! Not that I'm complaining.

Hope you're all doing well and hanging in there.

Gail

Omg you guys! reading this was a blessing. I was going all crazy in my head thinking what should i say, what shouldn't i say when i get to the airport, thinking horrible scenarios of getting my entry denied and not being able to spend new years with my fiance! D:

Thanks for sharing a happy experience, it's definitely nice to read that instead of all the scary stories that make me go psycho for a change :P
