Visa issued, when will i receive my passport?

Hello everyone, my husbands visa was issued on October 5th from New Delhi and we still haven't received the passport. Does anyone know how much longer its going to take until we receive it?

I called dept of state. And I also spoke with us embassy consular dept and they confirmed that it has been issued.

If the passport was dispatched from the embassy then you should receive it within next 2 working days. Do not forget 8th was holiday at embassy. Please let us know whenever you receive it. Thanks.

NVC:

07/30/2012 - Case arrived at NVC building

08/20/2012 - Received case #, IIN, gave both e-mail addresses

08/20/2012 - E-mailed DS-3032 (used email template & also attached scanned copy)

08/27/2012 - AOS bill invoiced & PAID online

08/28/2012 - AOS bill appears as PAID

08/29/2012 - DS-3032 accepted

08/30/2012 - IV bill invoiced & PAID online

08/31/2012 - IV bill appears as PAID

10/02/2012 - Interview date assigned by email

Mumbai Consulate:

10/05/2012 - Medical Done (Got the report on same day)

11/07/2012 - Interview @ Mumbai Consulate (Result: APPROVED)

11/09/2012 - Passport Pick up

11/22/2012 - POE Atlanta

Yes, that's true. We're hoping by Friday.

When was your passport dispatched from embassy? How did you come to know about it, I mean did they send sms or email?

Also when did you book the tickets for US entry?

Hey we are in the same boat. :) My visa was issued on 5th October and DOS says it's been done but I don't have my passport yet as well as Ive been checking with the courier everyday. :) So don't worry the passport will be with you soon.

Could you please provide the telephone number of consular section, New Delhi Embassy also please let me know whether they entertain only American citizen caller or Indian beneficiary too . Also time for calling them.

I called the new number 01206602222 and they told me that it's still with the embassy once it's gets couriered I will receive a.text message. I also went to my local vfs office and they also said it has not left the embassy yet they called the embassy in front of me.

I called the regular embassy number and spoke with us citizens services and they transfered me. Between 2-4

@muzamil which courier and what number do u contact the courier service?

I contacted the local courier in Pakistan. It's AEG aka American Express. Don't worry, you need to wait and see for 1 week at least. You will get it any day within that if your visa has been done.
