Case transferred and I'm worried and frustrated!!!!!

I sent in my application to renew my work permit back in July and I never received a NOA. I called USCIS 30 days after and was told that they mailed it out and the receipt date is July 20th and that I will get my appointment letter to do my biometrics but I never received it... I called USCIS 2 weeks ago and was told by one of the officers that she does not think I need to do biometrics and that if i did not receive an approval by 9/28 I should call back. When I called back I was told by one of the 1st level CSR that I needed to do biometrics and she will put in a request and I should wait 15days to get it in the mail. This morning I checked My case status and it says

"On October 9, 2012, we transferred this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made."

And then I checked my mailbox I also got a letter saying that I do not need to do a biometrics. Im confused as to whats going on because next week makes it 90days and I know ppl who sent in their application to the same lockbox (Chicago) and they already have their cards in hand from Sept.

Is this case transferring to another office a bad thing... And just a FYI my case is in the immigration courts and my status is pending AOS
