sent my family-based AOS original package (I-130; I-485; medical exam; etc) everything in there but I-765 for EAD. Now I've received 3 letter from INS - one for I-485 approval; one for AOS biometrics; one for the AOS interview.

Right now I am all done with AOS biometrics just waiting for the AOS coming in 2 weeks from now. The question is I heard of the FBI name check and all that so I am afraid of my being allowed to work on the interview day - afraid they wont stamp due to name check BS.

So I just applied for EAD card as a filling alone I-765; while waiting for AOS interview and already done with AOS biometrics.

Anything wrong with that and will I be called up for another biometrics for EAD?

And also will I be able to receive my EAD card on the interview day if they wont provide stamps due to name check BS? only 2 weeks so kinda short on time?

Anyone knows where to file for EAD. The I-765 instruction said I should send it to Chilcago, IL as a standalone I-785 family-based while I heard here and there that I should send it to local office in CA where I live. I am confused any1 helps plz?

If your interview is in 2 weeks time then why are you just filing for EAD now??? there is no way you will get the EAD on the day of your interview if you are not approved.... it will take anywhere between 80 -120 days to get the EAD....

I would wait and find out the result of your interview than if you are not approved on the day then you can think about filling for EAD....

Thanks for your prompt response. I understand ur resoning but for some reason, I'd like to work from the interview day on. So even I've done with AOS biometrics and stuff I couldn't get my EAD get prossessed faster and all? and How the EAD prossess now would look like after u had the biometrics? Another seperate biometrics just for EAD await ahead of me?

Yes you will have to have more biometrics done for EAD.... the only way you are going to be able to work from the interview date is if you are apporoved and you get a I-551 stamp in your passport.... if you file for EAD today it is going to take 3 months or so to get it....
