Hi everyone!

Don't know if right place and way of doing it but anyway.

Does anyone know anything about translating wife's degree (or whatever you do to it) to US standards?

Thanks for any help and feel free to ask questions

Have her degree translated and also the transcripts. Google "ECE" and send them the translated transcripts and degrees. They will evaluate them and give a recognized equivilent evaluation. FWIW , so far, every degree I have seen from the FSU evaluates as the equivilent US degree. But ECE is an "official" evaluator of such things. There are others. We used ECE for Alla's and Sergey's education evaluation

Thank you! One more question... Where will be the place to translate and transcript? Here or Ukraine?

It doesn't matter. I translated all of my paperwork myself and sent it to ECE. Never had any problem.

However, before you do that you should do some research. Is your wife looking for a job or does she want to go to college? If she wants to go to a college/university, she should make sure that the institution accepts ECE evaluations before you start the process. Some universities do not accept any evaluations, they do them themselves.
