Has anyone found a reasonable way to send gifts back?

I have organised a parcel and it seems its going to cost more to send it than the value of the contents.

I know they will really enjoy getting gifts from here but I'd love some ideas, if there are any of you sending things back, how have you been doing?

Cheers Julie

I have a funny story about the first time I was going to ship a box to my wife. I put together a gift box with all sorts of goodies. I carried it up to my local UPS office, filled out the forms and then she put it on the scale and put in my wife's address and said, how would you like to send this. I answered ground..cheap.

That will be $368 sir.

2 minutes later I was driving to the local US post office with the box back in the truck. I got a price of 216 from local post office. Again, back in the truck, got home, repacked into 3 smaller boxes. Sent US Mail Global for $40, 1 box a week over the next 3 weeks.

Yes..very expensive shipping overseas. I will spend it if it is important, for example I sent immigration documents and paperwork to the wife via DHL, $108 but worth every penny to know my wife is ready for the interview.

If your shipping from the US, good ole US mail is the cheapest and my wife received in only 5 days, not bad considering my cards that I send for .84 cents take 2 to 3 weeks to reach her.

Has anyone found a reasonable way to send gifts back?
