Hello all,

We have our interview on the 12th at islamabad embassy for my husband, really excited that there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel inshallah, but naturally a little nervous too, hopign all goes well and Allah unites us and everyone waiting soon inshAllah! We have the following as proof: Wedding pictures, vacation pictures with family and my husband from both times I visited, my boarding passes and passport showing entry and exit stamps, reciepts of shopping, eating out, flight tickets for travel between cities in PAK, a scrapbook of our wedding month I made for him as a gift, cards that I have sent him from here, many many pages of skype call logs (wedding was in november and we have been talking on skype since october of 2011 but the skypelogview is only showing from february onward), phone call history, chatting history from our engagement till now, email history between my dad and him, emails between me and him after the engagement, employement letter for me, tax transcripts, w-2, all the required legal docuemtns. We may not have to show them all of this, but just in case they ask, at least we will have it inshAllah. What else do you think we need to take? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot everyone and good luck to all in this process!

Looks like you have all the basis coverd just do a mock interview of questions that have been asked. It will help him get prepared for the interview and the type of questions that are asked, also reduces a little bit of nerviousness. Besides that dont lie about anything.. always tell the truth. Just be prepared for any sort of outcome.. I hope your visa gets approved, but dont be discouraged if they place it in AP... its usually very short time if the case is simple. Good luck!

My wife interviewed a few days ago and took with her a very similar set of documents. However, since we had turned these documents in to NVC as well, the counselor had already reviewed them and never asked for anything at the interview, not even the wedding pictures.

Some thoughts:

- I am assuming you have submitted the originals already (marriage certificate, beneficiary's birth certificate, others?). If not, you have to take the originals to the interview. Typically they let you know on the IV letter what originals they need.

- Did you get your marriage registered, and have a registration certificate? If so, take that with you as well.

- She also took with her any gifts exchanged (jewelery, greeting cards etc)

Good luck...and let us know how it went.
