My salary does meet the requirements. It didn't while I was in school, but it has for the past 6 months. Would I still need a cosponsor?

If your salary is not borderline, as in it is decently enough over the bare 125% minimum for your household size, then you should probably be fine without a co-sponsor. Just show proof of your current income with a letter from your employer and recent pay stubs. They tend to be understanding about those that were students before getting a job.

What pushbrk told you in this thread was correct: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/393084-very-confusing/page__view__findpost__p__5740244

For the self-employed it goes by what is on line 22 of your most recent 1040. That is total income after business deductions are subtracted. That is a tough thing with needing to file an affidavit of support. You take all the deductions you can to lower your taxes, but it can leave your total income appearing too low to meet the requirements.
