These kinds of discrepancies are likely what caused your RFE.

Your name/identity may need clarifying as does your address. It certainly will be confusing and likely raise suspicions if you have a set of documentation for one address and and some for another. If you don't want to change documents, then you have to explain WHY there are differences. I think some forum users have written a letter explaining why they have correspondence to another address, but I don't recall any examples.

My boarding pass/international travel stuff is in my maiden name, because my PASSPORT is in my maiden name. Everything else, bar my original marriage certificate is in my married name. I don't know if that is a big deal because they must see similar applications with the same thing every day. New passports are not cheap and are a waste of money if you didn't have it long before you got married.

When you say visa, can you give more details?

We will get the address changed on our drivers license and through the USCIS. And start printing off pics :) THANK U

My Indian tourist Visa I got back in 2008, is a ten year visa-that's what i mean by VIsa..

Also We filed in MArch-All evidenace came from when we lived with my parents where we did not pay utilities or rent, we just moved out in August-Thats when we have the evidence at the new address.

Also this year we took out seperate medical insurance since either of us wanted to pay the additional $100-surcharge-Is that something worth explaining? Since the 2 years prior to that we took out same medical insurance (My husband recently got a job which offered insurance)

So we now plan on sending some pics since we filled in MArch, our new lease for the place we rent, Our new utility bills, renters insurance (Its in my name but corresponds with the date we moved in on our lease)

I will also send the itinerary for our trip to india-i did not send this cause i was worried about having my maiden name on those documents.

I am also getting a letter from my parents stating we lived at this address from this date to this date- and we did not have utilties.

Do u think it will hurt us now since we did not change address since we moved with uscis?

Hi everyone, with my husband and i getting ready to send in our information from the RFE we got 8/4/2012 . we were wondering if it is possible that anyone has ever received 2 RFE before?

second question is will the uscis ever penalize anyone if by accident a second copy of documents were sent such as our tax returns we sent with the petition and we send then again??

I received an RFE twice for the same form. I'm applying for CR-1. My wife got a RFE because we forgot some information. We sent it and we received another RFE. But they completed our case and they will schedule an interview and we have to provide more information there.

The second RFE asked more proof of US Domicile and her W2's from 2011. We already sent her W2's with the first I-864, apparently they didn't see that. Now we're working on proof of US Domicile since she's living overseas with me, but again we already sent copies of our Car Title and a Bank Statement, showing that she still maintain her US bank account and bought a new car there (last September while we where there). She's going to vote and we will add a proof of voting record to this list.

RFEs for ROC are not for a specific thing, they are for more evidence of a bona fide marriage. What you sent was not enough and they want more. So, they give you a list of possible things, and it is up to you to show more. You will not get a second RFE, if they are still not satisfied you will get an interview date.

A LPR is required by law to notify USCIS when they move within 10 days. Also, if you have an active case you need to notify them. You didn't tell them you moved? That can hurt you.

They can figure out married/maiden name. WIthholding evidence for that reason is silly.

Send more stuff. If it requires some explanation, then explain on a separate sheet. Highlight what you want them to see, so they don't have to search for the pertinent parts.

We sent our form I-864 twice. They never complained, we actually got our second RFE but for proof of US domicile. We're waiting for the interview now.

It's fine to send the same stuff for AOS and ROC, but ROC they will want to see a little more stuff I would have thought because more time has passed. During my AOS interview the interviewer had pointed out a few things we didn't have and said that we should have them by the time we did ROC (I can't remember what it was now but it was something simple that we missed out window for filing a SSN (I entered on a tourist visa waiver so once that expired I couldn't apply for a SSN or something until I got my EAD, but that ended up coming the week of my interview. I couldn't open a joint bank account without a SNN and so on... so that was an issue and a key form of documents)

The point I wanted to make was that if you send the same stuff twice, and not much else, your application can't progress. The OP mentioned that they couldn't remember everything they'd sent at first, so if they ended up sending all of the same stuff twice, which evidently was not enough, they are going to get another RFE. All the stuff from AOS is valid documentation and can be used though. It just needs to be built on. A lot can change and be added in 2 years for a legitimate marriage.
