For us it was having to go do the biometrics twice, the AOS interview, and then an error on USCIS part about having to do the biometrics again after my wife received her GC. Overall it's more of an annoyance having to take time off from work, but we are glad that the AOS process is over with.

We always printed our passport style photos at home on our printer. The only time they weren't accepted was when Jena renewed her passport at the Philippine embassy in Chicago. They took the photo for that.

Does that mean you had to go to the USCIS numerous times?

You are going to get well-acquainted with your local USCIS field office: :D

1. AOS biometrics

2. AOS interview

3. ROC biometrics

4. Naturalization biometrics

5. Naturalization interview

6. Oath Ceremony

Altogether, we spent $42 on USCIS parking! :o
