Seriously!? 400 miles is unforgivably long? Egad!

You plan to tell USCIS "not gonna happen"?

Four hundred miles is just five to six hours driving. If driving there is your only option, you can go and be back to the comfort of your sofa [and laptop and tv and food et al] in less than 12 hours.

Unless, of course, you are not serious about your petition!

Driving there takes 8 hours and a border crossing

And seriously? Drive there and be back in the comfort of my own home in 12 hours?

I'm sorry, but the fact you suggest someone drive 6 hours and turn right around is pretty sad and unsafe.

Not to mention the suspicion I would face if I left Canada and reentered w/in 24 hours.

Been there done that, so the whole situation would take me about a week.

I do not have the money to file my petition and it's being paid for by my employer.

So I definitely don't have 250 dollars in gas money and days off to use.

It has nothing to do with being serious about my petition so there's no reason to be so rude.

I was able to call and get (1) address, now just waiting to get through at the other place.

Success! Got the second one. I didn't think they would release that info to me over the phone.

Turns out the one I was MOST worried about which was a random converted apt in the backwoods of Wisconsin (which would take about 15 hours to get there from here) JUST falls out of the 5year mark by about a month WHEW!

Sounds like you put your thinking cap on. Congratulations! Now, I encourage you to keep that "can do" attitude going forward. It will serve you well.

No one here has been rude to you [or sarcastic] even by a hair's breath. We are here to share experiences and help each other as best and as honestly as we can.

You are actually the one who was being rude to yourself by limiting yourself and telling yourself 'no can do' about things that HAVE TO BE DONE if you have to get anywhere with your petition.

Every problem has a solution. Our challenge is to find it.

Glad, though, that you have got your address(es). There is no two-way about things that USCIS asks for, and more often than not, if you cant produce what they want, they are the ones who tell you 'not gonna happen' about approving your petition.

Good luck with the rest of the journey.
