Hi Team,

Just had a couple of clarifications needed on things that should be in the packet:

5. A copy of petitioner's proof of naturalization. (If applicable)I'm assuming this is not necessary as I'm a US citizen?

6. A copy of petitioner's proof of permanent residency. (If applicable) Is this where I submit like a piece of mail or something that goes to my US address? If so, what is appropriate? My license has my address on it, is that enough?

11. G-325A filled out by the US Citizen, signed and dated.

13. G-325A filled out by the non-US Citzen spouse signed and dated.

Am I understand correctly that we BOTH need a G-325A? I think that's what I misunderstood at first until reading the checklist.

15. Evidence of a bonafide marriage (see note below for what to include)

It this the point where I should supply AS MUCH as possible? Just wondering if I supply ALL of this info now, or at the interview as I noticed many people saying they brought wedding albums and such to the interview

On the G-325... i'm seeing FILE NUMBER with an A below it... what is this?

Regarding #5: Since you are a citizen, you would submit a copy of your birth certificate or a copy of all pages of your US passport. If you went through the naturalization process, you would submit a copy of your naturalization certificate b]or[/b] a copy of all pages of your US passport.

Regarding #6: That question is addressing LPR's who are filing a petition, it does not apply to US Citizens.

11. G-325A filled out by the US Citizen, signed and dated.

13. G-325A filled out by the non-US Citzen spouse signed and dated.

Yes, you both need a G-325A

I'll defer to VJ members from or familiar with Canada to give you advice on this one.

On the G-325... i'm seeing FILE NUMBER with an A below it... what is this?

You will not have one, so you write "None" and your spouse will not have one at the time of the initial filing of the petition so "None" will go on the form completed by your spouse as well.

We only sent bank statements and a letter from our account manager of our joint accounts from Brazil, a couple of pictures of our wedding in the US and in Brazil and church records with our address together.

We didn't get RFE for that.

You don't need to send as much as possible. You need to send strong proofs.

Thanks, any input on previous addresses? I know cities... just not street addresses.

Do the best you can to find out all your addresses and start and end month and year going back five years. If you've lived at your current address five years, you don't need to provide any past addresses.

I haven't. There are (2) addresses that I do not know. I know cities and I can even find the street names, but I have no clue on the building numbers or apt numbers unless I actually went there... and given that I'm 400 miles away? Not gonna happen.

Try Google Earth and then street view. If you made out rent checks to apartment complexes, Google the apartment names on your checks, call them and get the address. "Can't" doesn't cut it in this process.

Those checks were made out years ago to banks that I am not even with any more.

And google didn't go down my street.

Then time to turn on your thinking cap and either find another option or drive 400 miles. Do you have a friend in that city or cities who could drive by for you? Can't doesn't cut it.

No I do not.

You are the USC, right? If you get one of your annual free credit reports, you will see all your previous addresses listed on there.

Also, it bears repeating, as stated on the form and by pushbrk: you only need the last five years of residence history.

RE: your past addresses, I have seen your responses to other people. This is a very serious process you are undertaking, nothing at any point should be taken lightly. If they want your addresses for the past 5 years, you need to find a way to get them, no excuses, or you will be wasting time, energy and money submitting a petition that isn't filled out correctly. Stop making excuses there is always a way to find out a past address. If it were me and I really could not figure out what the address was, I would get in the car and drive the 400 miles instead of saying to people "it isn't going to happen" and make it happen
