Welcome to the forum.

:time: You will be able to get a forum estimate of your petition approval dates.

The USCIS usually does not consider "Impending marriage" as an acceptable expedite criteria. Here is the link to the criteria:

http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

It is not likely that you can request that your visa petition be transferred to another service center for expedience. If it were possible, your petition would then likely be placed at the start of that center's processing queue (i.e., the bottom of the pile). :blink:

The general forum recommendation is to NOT make any formal wedding dates/plans/deposits/reservations until you have the approved visa in your passport, in your hand! :yes: There are far too many variables during the process that may delay/impede the process. It is those same variables that make time estimates very difficult to accurately predict. :unsure:

While you are waiting,:clock: take the opportunity to learn more about the process by reading the site's Guides. They can be easily accessed by hitting the "Guides" button at the top of the forum page. :thumbs:

Good luck on your visa journey.

:bonk::thumbs:

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Oh thats a long time...really this waiting time really sucks. And i miss my fiancee all the time. She wants to come over and meet me but we are not doing it because we were expecting them to give us a visa in 5 months and were planning things accordingly..Now Vermont gives us a shocker .... We had planned for my work status after filing for AOS once we got married in Dec...Now things will be delayed even more...

And you do realize that after you marry and file AOS you are looking at possibly another 5 to 8 month wait. But you can file your EAD and get that hopfefully sooner but still it will be a few months. you at 4 months you are doing good. Just hang on.

dude2415, I am in the same boat with you (check out my timeline), and having browsed this site to see how long wedding takes from NOA2 I can reallistically tell you not to plan for december wedding, but consider yourself lucky if it'll be march-april. I am considering march-april wedding, with may may being worst case backup. To make it worse this is PERFECT scenario, if you dont get RFE, if you do not get delayed by medical, if you do not get delayed by embassy, etc.

Dont get frustrated, this is how thigs are. And as far as your job situation try not to orry about it, as there will be other opportunities; or if you believe that you absolutely have to take it - then move now.
