Hi friends,

Can you please help me in this topic "Which countries can Indian citizens travel without transit visa?" I'm on K-1 Visa and i would like to know about transit visa. Some people and websites says that " if traveler have to leave airport, then transit visa is must" but some says "if connecting flight time is more than 8 hours, then it is must". Anyone with recent experience, can help me on this would be really appreciated.

I have dubai, amsterdam, london and frankfurt coming as 1 stop when i'm trying to book flight. Please tell me which one is best for me as per my visa status. Im on K-1 visa and travelling to US from india.

Thanks

If you use Frankfurt as your stop (and despite the fact that nationals of India need visas to enter Germany) , you won't need a transit visa, since you have a visa for the US.

anyone can also help me please? DUBAI, netherland, frankfurt or any other airport...

I would use Frankfurt as it is a nice airport and that is the only one on this list I have been to. My wife went thru Frankfurt three times--two on a tourist visa and one on a K-1 visa--and never needed a transit visa as she had a visa to the USA. I only know from personnel experience one country that requires a transit visa if remaining in the airport--Russia. I did call the German Consulate in the US and asked about my wife's need for any type of visa. As long as she remained in the airport she did not need a transit visa for Germany. So that is why my vote is for Frankfurt.

Good luck,

Dave

Its generally not a problem. The airline will mostly tell you when you need a transit visa. I haven't travelled via Dubai but I'm sure its not an issue. Frankfurt, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, I have never needed a transit visa for. But I've never had a stopover for more than 6 hours. Try for a stopover range of 2-7 hours, anything less might make you miss your flight (happened with me and then I HAD to get a transit visa at the airport because I was stuck there for a day). Anything more might drive you crazy waiting.

I personally don’t like London and I try to avoid London.

Their airport and security procedures are pain…. I personally would prefer anything Brussels, Amsterdam, Dubai, Frankfurt.

All these airport you do not need a transit visa since you have visa to US.
