Affidavit of support documents

Hi all,

My fiance is currently working as a teacher in early education, and during the summer off he's receiving unemployment cheques from the school, and he'll resume working with the school once summer is over again. Will it be a problem when we file the Affidavit of support documents? I understand we need 3 recent paystubs for proof of employment, so not sure if the unemployment cheque will cause some problem for us... Anyone in similar situation? Do advise what we should do !

Yes he has, but we want to make sure we cover all potential " VISA rejections" before we submit the application.

how far are you in the K1 process?

They'll look at the current income not the EDD check. Although, he'll be required to show 1040 or tax transcripts of previous years.

You can also use a letter from employer that states position and salary as added proof of current income. Does your consulate require 3 months of pay stubs? If the most recent pay stub shows year-to-date earnings, that should be all you need to show.
