Boy Scouts' homosexual ban conflicts Bay Area California parents

very few of the perpetrators get in a van and kidnap kids..... they come across them in their daily life. Sure the hard core cases gravitate to kids camps, day cares and Boy scouts.... but I would suspect those are the minority of cases.

i think we're kind of saying the same thing here. i take issue with the boyscouts banning homosexuals because it gives a false sense of security to parents who are of the mindset that homosexuals do the majority of molesting, which simply isn't true..think about all the cases of molestation that are carried out by middle aged married men who have lived their entire lives hiding their homosexual tendencies (towards children)..

i said that the only acceptable stereotype of molesters is that they are 'adult' because sexual orientation isn't a reliable indicator, when considered alone. not a fan of the tsa - haha.

my son's father is a complete loser. the time that he spends with his son isn't very productive and it isn't anywhere close to the positive male influence that my son begs for. no one can give that to him but his father. my husband is a wonderful step parent, but he is just that - a step parent. i know that my son is going to seek out male attention and he does..anywhere he can. that is why i stress open communication, because telling my son to stay away from gay guys cause they are more likely to be inappropriate with him in a platonic relationship - would be a lie and an oversight on my part.
