Hi guys was wondering if anyone could help me out.

I filed for my AoS from a K1 visa on Jan 6th, got my Biometrics appointment in Feb, EAD card late March/early April and have heard absolutely nothing since other than on the USCIS case check website it says 'Initial Review'.

Obviously I'm aware that AoS can take ages but I was wondering what avenues I can go down to find out why my case is taking so long? Should I call NCSC, set up an infopass appointment, wait and see or something else?

The case was transferred from CSC to St Louis back in April, so should I assume that when it gets transferred it goes to the back of the line and it's really 6 months from then?

Thanks for any advice!

I have almost the same situation. I applied for AOS in July 23, 2012. Got EAD approved September 21, 2012. Received EAD/AP September 29, 2012. And nothing in my case so far. My I-130 is still in "Initial review" and 485 is at "RFE respond review". Some people say I should call and ask to expedite my 485, I did call but been told that I don't fall into any categories to request expediting my case. I have no idea why it takes so long...

It's been since January, that's a long wait! I would could the USCIS and see what's going on.

MilaS, your case is different than bebop, you applied 2.5 months ago, really, that's not the same wait. OP has not had news on his case since April. You have not had news for... a week. Wait patiently.

Mine is 7 months and 4 days of waiting and still waiting...

I called uscis sept 10 and since its out of normal processing time, they sent a service request to the local feild office and told me i will receive a response from them in 15 days. I haven't received any. I called uscis again sept 26 and the agent told me the local feild office (des moines) sent an email to me. I haven't received any email from them nor there is any "touch" in my case since april. I asked what's in the email and he told me that I have to wait 45 days for their decision. So around second week of November. that's gonna be almost 8th and a half month of waiting to hear from them. Been checking my case status almost everyday.. No "touch" . So I know the feeling.. :(

Contacting our Senator was definitely the way to go. We just received text/email notification that the GC is in card production stage. I highly recommend contacting your Senator to get things moving.
