Hello everyone.... My Fiance just got her appointment for her interview in Manila, Philippines. They told her she needed to bring her CEAC letter with her. Does anyone know what that is or what CEAC stands for.

I think it is the letter she got from the embassy inviting her to book an appointment for the interview but I am not certain ..maybe someone knows and could help us? Also just so everyone that is going thru this

process is aware she was told to go online to book the appointment which she did. Now she has the question ..when does she book her physical exam with St Lukes Hospital? Any help with these two questions will really

help us. I wish everyone good luck with there Visa process.... thanks Paul

CEAC is Consular Electronic Application Center = DS-160

For K1 you don't need to do it, use DS-156 instead.

Are there any visa categories for which I should not fill out the DS-160?

Yes. If you are applying for a visa in any of the categories below, you should complete the DS-156, not the DS-160. You must also complete the DS-156K if you are applying for a K-1 visa. If required, you should also complete the DS-157 and DS-158.

Once you've booked an interview appointment, you'll receipt an Interview Confirmation. You'll bring that to St Luke's which no appointment needed. It's a First-Come, First-Served basis only. You'll only need to pre-register here: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/. Print 2 copies per applicant to show at the on-duty guard.

Good luck!

..when does she book her physical exam with St Lukes Hospital?

^^^ Yes, as Tintin and Mike said, pre-register for your medial after you schedule your interview. Many people complete their medical one or two weeks before the interview. Some people cut it a bit closer. Some people complete their medical as soon as they can in case they have to undergo the eight-week TB culture. If you do an early medical, keep in mind that the visa is valid six months from the date of the medical, not from the date of the interview.
