Hi,

we are at the beginning of k-1 process. I worked in Denmark for 7 months last year. My question is how many weeks it takes them to release my police record, considering i live in Romania now. And also, for how long is it available the police record(for the interview)?

thanks:)

Did you have a CPR number when you were working in Denmark last year?

Police record from Denmark is issued at any police station and it takes about 5-10 minutes.

I am not sure if you can get it online.

Yes, I did have a CPR number. The problem is that i can't go to Denmark to make a request in person. I have the address where to send them a letter, but if you say it takes them 5-10 mins, then maybe it will take around a week to send it to me. I can't get it online, i already checked.

One more question, you might know; is it available 1 or 6 months?

Thanks a lot, anyway :)

You'll have to send a letter via snail mail along with a copy of your ID to the address in bold(below). The letter has to be a brief statement from you asking to have your police record sent to your address. You have to ask to get the English version of it. They claim it takes 1-2 days. The police record itself is free of charge however you have to pay to have it sent to your adress. So enclose a return envelope with stamps on it as well.

If you have specific questions about it, you can email them at adm-kriminalregister@politi.dk - they don't send the police record electronically though. The Danish police record is usually valid for 12 months.

NP - they're pretty down to earth communicating in English. Hope you'll get the record fast.
