The A number is either under "beneficiary" or simply under A number depending on what your notice of action looks like. On one form, it was the first thing written on the form for me(RFE), on another form, it was in the box of beneficiary's name on the right side of paper, just above the name. But yes, it had that format; A200 300 400

I only have one example of the form, The green arrow points towards the A number. Here you go;

The only NOA I received was just to tell me that they received my I-129F petition. The box labeled USCIS Alien Number is blank. There is nothing there. The only number on that form is the Receipt Number that starts with a WAC. That same receipt number is listed on the denial letter as a File number. Then on top of the 2 attached pages to the denial latter is an A number and the WAC number. This is why I am confused. Nothing was ever approved, so if what feli114 posted above, my Fiance would not have an A number. Is that correct?

Within a week of what? I have not sent in my second petition yet

But I'm not asking you to look at your NOA1. The denial notice of action is the one I'm referring to. And yes, it does have an A number as you mention.

As i said, you do NOT have to have a petition approved in order for your fiancee to have an A number. The case just has to be registred, and that's usually any sort of notice that comes AFTER NOA1.

I had an A number by the time of RFE, most have it in the decision(NOA2) regardless of it being approved or denied.

I appreciate your patients with trying to help with this.

On my denial letter there is nothing that says Alien Registration number. I just see a number at the top of pages 2 and 3 that starts with an A. This is why I am confused, there is nothing that says this is your A#. I scanned in the letter and the attached page 2, and circled the number I am referring to on page 2.

One other thing I was wondering... if that is the A# should I even put that number on the forms since I am starting over with a new I-129F? Would USCIS create a new file and A# for my Fiance, or would they use the one from before?

I do mentioned that file and A number where it asks if I filed before on the I-129F for Part A question 11.

That IS the A number you're referring to. The one before the WAC number, on page 2.

The A number will stay with your fiancee throughout her journey. Later on(during AOS) it's still the same A number. It stays with her just like your ssn stays with you.

Once you get an A number, it is yours for life. It doesn't matter if you're starting over with a new petition. They've already granted you a number in the past, so that's the number to use.
