What is the "A#" asked for on the I-129F

I am refiling an I-129F for my Fiance due to the original being denied for lack of evidence. I did not include anything with the form. It was suggested on here to just refile. Anyway, I was just about to print off all the forms now and while looking over the I-129F I noticed where it asks for the A# in a couple spots. On the form sent to me denying the I-129F, there is an A number listed at the top of some of the pages along with the file number. It does not say what the A number is though. I thought it was part of the file number. It just says file number WXX99 999 99999 / A999 999 999. Is that A number the A# asked for on the I-129F? I thought the A# asked for is an alien registration number, which I did not think my Fiance had, but if we tried submitting an I-129F already, would they assign her an alien registration number?

By the way, I am stating that I have filed before for the same person in question 11 on the I-129F and giving both numbers as the file number.

Thanks.

If it is the same A# that was requested in the I-130 it is an alien # for the beneficiary.

If you don't have one don't put anything.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong.

No, I am in the process now of filing my second petition. I just received my Fiance's signed G-325A, letter of intent, and passport style pics the other day. I also have those for me. I also have chat logs (YM and Skype), text msgs, email logs, money sent receipts for school, tickets, hotel receipts, passports stamps, even misc receipts from when I was there. and pics from my 2 visits to the Philippines to meet her. I don't have any proof of phone calls however since me mostly talk on Skype and I changed my phone since we last talked on the phone. I don't have a receipt for a ring but I have a pic of the ring on her finger. I am double checking everything since I don't want to waste 5 months again. I have asked a few questions this week, and will probably have a couple more before I put it all in the mail. It wont be too hard to jive with my first filing, other than our name and address, since I did not send anything else with the I-129F form. Thank you .

I don't have an I-130 form, only thing they sent me with the denial was a I-290B. It has a space for a file number A -

Now that I look at the denial letter (Form I-292) again, I typed the first post above at work from memory, the first page of the letter says "File: WXX99 999 99999". The letter itself is 3 pages, at the top of page 2 and 3 right above the page number it has "A999 999 999 / WXX99 999 99999" The only "A" number I can see anywhere is that one. On the spot on the I-290B form where it asks for file number it has an "A - " which makes me think that the A number I see is or is part of the file number.

I don't know that I would send western union receipts I know you say they are for school. But spending money is not proof of a relationship especially when it is not your spouse or you don't have children. In some cases it can harm more than it can help. But that's just my opinion. Best of luck to you!

Yes I know what you mean and I have thought about that and read about it before on here. I just mentioned it and am not sure if I will include it, but if I need it, I have it, whether it's to prove a relationship or that I can support her. It's actually from Xoom. WU you need to write a letter and it can take a few weeks to get. I have used both over the years.

Thank you. I have been following that guide. I wish I had it back when I first submitted my I-129F.

I don't have an I-130 form, so does that mean the number I am talking about is not the "A#" asked for on the I-129F?

I'll start off by saying that A number is not crucial to having your petition approved. Put N/A if you can't find it.

But if you have the original NOA1 from the first petition, your fiancee's A number will most likely be on that one. If you can't find it or see any A number, then there is none.

I'd suggest if you have the A number, put it on the form. You can't write NONE unless A# never was given .

Most forms ask for the A#.

Regarding the NOA, I am guessing that is the I-797C, Notice Of Action. After looking at it again, I see a spot that says "USCIS Alien Registration Number" but it's blank. There is nothing there. I never noticed that before. I was always just looking for a number that started with an "A" and never payed attention to the box labels. Since that is blank then I guess that A number I see on the denial letter is not the alien registration number.

What is the format of the alien registration number? How mane digits/letters? Are there typically any dashes in it?

Thanks.

From USCIS: Alien Registration Number (“A” Number) or Alien Number

A unique seven-, eight- or nine-digit number assigned to a noncitizen at the time his or her A-file is created.

No, there aren't any dashes in it. If there's none on the paperwork you submitted and your fiance has never dealt with USCIS, then there's no A number. You can write none in the box.

A number may also be given during an RFE.

The only number I see that starts with an A is at the top of the 2 pages that are an attachment to the denial letter (form I-292).

It looks like this... A999 999 999

At the top of the pages are the a number and the file number, but it does not say what they are.

It just looks like this... A999 999 999 / WAC99 999 99999

The WAC number is the file number mentioned in the denial letter.

Sorry I keep going over this but I'm kind of stressing over this whole thing and I want to make sure everything is correct. I already wasted 5 months waiting on my first submission only to find out it was denied.
