My Fiancee is planning on going there on a Saturday. I just want to confirm that they are still open on Saturdays and that they do medical exam on Saturday.

Which clinic is better as far as wait time? I heard Q Life make you wait for a long time and is more expensive than Children's Practice. I was wondering if this is true or not? I also heard that 2nd appointments are being set like 3 weeks later. I pray this isn't true. I hope we get someone here who can share their experience with us.

I have settled on Children Place based on my personal research on the web. They seem to be popular with VJers after the fact which was a bonus. Allegedly, according to another VJ the offer the lowest price.

This is the first time that I've heard about this 3 weeks things. Hopefully it's not true cause it will create much angst in me.

Femi, my husband had all done at Children's in one day. 23,000 total. Then the doctor asked him to come back in two days later to check his heart (do and EKG). He said this was just preventative because my hubby is over 40, had slightly high blood pressure and it may come up at interview. So he had it done as a preventative. The additional test was 10,000. All was done within two days (he went early on a Tuesday morning and received his papers on Thursday afternoon for Embassy and POE).

Hope this helps.

I've been told before but I forgot. What is the form that we ask the Doctor for that we can submit during AOS for medical examinations that shows all the shots, etc.

Thanks.

A vaccination record? Is that what you are referring to?

Gowan, how did your wife do at the medical? Did she go to Childrens and was she able to get everything completed in one day?

She is going there tomorrow, I'll report back.

The form I'm looking for is the one we will submit at AOS to prove that she has her medical/vaccinations done without having to pay a stateside panel doctor all over again.

I suspect that this may be different for you IR1/CR1 folks as your strut is diffrent with the automatic green cards

Her Imperial Majesty has arrived in Lagos and fashionably late so examination is postponed until tomorrow.

I will post a blow by blow so any one interested can read her escapades.

I sent an email to the clinic advising them that I will like them to give her a complete copy of her PHI and especially the DS-3025.

She arrived, alongst with another applicant, at noon and was told that the Doctor has left for the day.

On the website they advertise longer opening hours.

She'll return on the morrow.

WOW..two days in a row she missed an appointment? Okay, tell her to go to bed really early this evening and arrive at 8am!

She only missed the one day at the medical but yes we're working on timeliness, always carrying extra paperwork/documentation, early bird takes the worm and other project management skills.

Her task tomorrow after the medical is to take a trip to the embassy so she can figure out how long it will take her to get there by 6AM next week, even if there's a monsoon, bus strike, etc

In her defence though they never said that the Doctor leaves at noon for the day but these things happen.

Please extend my greetings to your wife! Glad I'm not the only one with a spouse that drags their feet!!! I think that may be his biggest cultural shock when he arrives home to me!

She's there now @ 7AM, bless her heart good.gif

She arrived there at 645AM, some folks were already there but the gate was locked. Gateman opened the gate at 7AM but said the clinic opens at 8AM.

Based on Google maps, the Embassy seems to be just across the water though you have to take a sizable detour to get to a crossing bridge.
