Medical in 1-3 days, then Interview on the 4th day!

1. f you want to complete your medical at the same time your daughter completes her medical, you will not be able to complete your medical in one or two days . The reason for that is because your daughter will be required to undergo a TB skin test which will require you to return to St. Lukes on, I believe, the third day.

2. It usually takes the Embassy a day or two to receive the results of a completed medical.

3. You should still attend your interview even if the Embassy does not yet have your medical results.

4. You will not have to return to the Embassy if your medical results did not arrive in time for your interview.

5. If your daughter's TB skin test or your chest x-ray shows any abnormality, St. Lukes will require you to undergo a three-day sputum collection and will perform three smear tests and an eight-week culture. If that happens, St. Lukes will inform the Embassy and your interview will be rescheduled.

6. If St. Lukes sees any scars on your wrists, they will require you to undergo a psych evaluation which will delay your interview.

7. If you admit to any illegal drug use, you will still pass your medical, but your visa likely will be denied by the Embassy.

Hi everyone, I have a question. I'm confused weather the Nvc will be the one who will give us appointment date? How is the notice looks like if that's the que?

Or do we need to call the embassy for the appnt schedule ?

I'm planning to have my medical exam without appnt interview. Were cr1 category and we already completed all the papers..

Salamat :)

NVC will schedule your appointment. Currently they are behind as the influx of Yolanda expedited cases has overwhelmed the system. They have not opened July scheduling as of yet so going to do your medical IMHO is too early as your visa is good for 6 months before it will expire. The time clock begins ticking when you complete your medical not your interview. Contact NVC at for scheduling questions:

1-603-334-0700

1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

Best time to call is 7:35 EDT you usually will get your call answered rather quickly.

You jumped into a 2 year old topic, you would do better to start a new topic to get more attention and answers.

NVC will schedule your interview and you will get a letter/email from them regarding your interview.

You will then need to gather everything listed in the embassy instructions letter:

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/865058/instructionpackets/IV%20Applicants_%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20_as%20of%2017%20September%202013_%20without%20footer.pdf

If you do your medical early just remember that the validity of the visa is tied to the date of the medical.

There is another thread here where the people showed up for the med on Thursday and the interview the following Monday. But that is not smart planning. They gambled and won but could have just as easily gambled and lost.

Do your med at least one week before the interview, and even earlier if you can. One month before interview is not unheard of.

This topic is 2 years old, the original OP has long ago completed everything.

The person that brought it back to life is asking a different question...
