My husband had his interview on Sept 20th, he received a 221g, he submitted the documents along with his passport to VFS on Sept 21st. Since then we have been waiting, we have not heard anything from the consulate. How long does consulate usually take to process these kind of cases in Mumbai ?

Give it couple of weeks from submission date. Then call DOS and see if they have an update.

I-129F process (K-1 visa):

07-21-2011 Applied

07-26-2011 NOA1 receipt

01-05-2012 NOA2 received, approval I-129F

01-11-2012 NVC Received

01-12-2012 NVC Left

01-24-2012 Consulate Received

02-08-2012 Packet 3 Received

03-26-2012 Packet 3 Sent

03-27-2012 Packet 4 Received

05-07-2012 Interview Date, approved

05-16-2012 Received K-1Visa

05-29-2012 Arrived in U.S.

AOS/EAD/AP (Adjusting from K1 Visa):

05-31-2012: Wedding

06-07-2012: Filed AOS/EAD/AP

06-11-2012: AOS/EAD/AP NOA1

07-10-2012: Case Transferred to CSC

07-20-2012: Biometrics Appt/Case received by CSC

08-15-2012: EAD/AP Approved

08-23-2012: EAD/AP Combo Card Received

01-07-2013: 1st Service Request ( Outside Processing Time )

02-24-2013: 2nd Service Request ( Outside Processing Time )

03-22-2013: AOS Approval without Interview

03-27-2013: Greencard Received

Hi, Did anyone got IR1 visa stamped in passport after 221g request for additional documents? I am in the same situation where I attended interview at Mumbai Consulate on Sep18, 2012 and was given a 221g white letter asking for a joint sponsor. I submitted the documents and passport at OFC Chennai on Oct 1st.

Since then, I am waiting for my passport and the status is under process at US Consulate. Please reply.

I got my IR1 visa stamped and the sealed envelope today from the Mumbai Consulate.

04/14/2011: NVC Case received

04/19/2011: AOS fee paid

05/07/2011: IV Fee paid

05/13/2011: AOS received

06/21/2011: Case completed at NVC

IR/1

-----

12/19/2012: Became US citizen and request sent to upgrade from F2A to IR/1

01/13/2013: Case completed (again!!)

04/02/2013: Interview (Approved)
