First of all about my husbands interview it was not so bad..the problem with the interviews though is that well we have been through this for the past 4yrs and been together for 6yrs. it was hard and it makes one person going to these interviews very nervous and it takes a toll on you...secondly we had been denied for so long we never thought they would allow us to be a family that is very scary but we truly love each other and never gave up..and it paid off...the interview lasted no more then an hour.. it was different this time being we had a reaffirm they took my husband in a room and the women asked him just a few questions..who a certain person was in our skype pics. the normal kinda of questions..and then she told him to get his physical and bring other translated papers with him such as birth certificate/ marriage certificate/ police and court papers..she did not want any of the paystubs with taxes but always bring everything just incase they want to see everything on the spot of your interview..it will save you time from going back to the embassy..she never told my husband if he was approved or not but what we did while waiting for the call to say if we were or not in three or four days we kept calling the state dept. to see if the visa was issued and we knew before the actual call..what i want to stress is that i know alot of spouses would like to be there at the embassy for the interview but your time off from work would be better used when your spouse comes to you because it is a culture shock and they need help adjusting to your culture..and a new way of life with you and your family..it is so special..it is like the first time you take home your baby from the hospital..and you have to open it eyes and mind to a new world. and it is so special because it is so wonderful to see as they explore with you everything for the first time.. my husband and I are so great and happy and our kids are and is the best thing that happened to us. Us being the family we are and our love and happiness is what matters so cherish every moment with your loved ones..this is my blessing from God and I will never forget what we have been through to get here..this is the moment in life when you reflect and know that this is from God to give your family a chance to be as one and have a good life sharing love life and happiness forever.. thank you again for all the people on vj who helped us and was there for us and we will still pray for the people still going through this process..may God bless all of you....Inshaallah to all

I am so happy for you guys. We are waiting for a reaffirmed response now. Why did your husband not get a medical exam before he went to the new interview?

to answer your question sadman...i think that every interview is different in its own way you can only be calm at least try to be and just answer whatever questions they have for you...but mostly with the reaffirms like us they asked questions from our rebuttal...everything will be fine you just have to know that your love is worth the fight and they will see this...it took us a very long time...may God be with you and your wife ...

when you have an interview that is not a reaffirmed then you will take your medical before because it is required but when you are reaffirmed they will tell you if you need to get one or not just for the fact if you are going to be approved or denied
