Hello dear VJers!!!

My petition for my husband finally got approved (~5.5 months, no RFE's) :dance:

Almost all documents that are needed by the NVC are in my possession except the employment letter. FYI, I will not be submitting paystubs because the year-to-date income on the last paystub can't be used to accurately calculate my current annual salary (I had 1.5 months of unpaid period). Instead, I will be submitting a letter of employment from my employer. I have several questions and here they are:

1) I need to request a letter of employment from my employer. Please advice whether below listed things are the correct things to request to be included in the letter?

Since I am an hourly employee working 47 hours a week (40 regular hrs + 7 overtime hours(1.5x regular hrs)), I will ask my employer to list the following items on the letter:

* start of employment;

* position;

* type of employment (e.g. permanent);

* hourly wage;

* number of hours worked in a week;

* gross weekly or gross monthly wage;

2) I know that for the most part the current annual income is the most important to establish eligibility and my current annual income is above this threshold. I plan on submitting my tax trascripts for the last 3 years since my gross income for 2011 was below the required level and in 2009 and 2010 they were above the required level.

Since my current annual income is above the required level by only $2-6K (depending if employer includes overtime payments or not in the letter) and my last year's gross income was below the 2011 required level, should I maybe include a co-sponsor? I am really worried that my relatively low levels of wages may become an issue.

Thank you
