You don't think a teacher telling a student that her shirt is comparable to wearing a KKK shirt is racist? And to make it worse she brought in fellow teachers into the classroom to make fun of that student.

last time i checked, mitt romney wasn't a member of the kkk nor does he advocate lynchings, cross burnings, etc. so to tell a kid that wearing a romney shirt is like wearing a kkk robe - i'd have to call that stupid. the comparison is dumb.

Agreed it was dumb, but it was also obviously racist and the non existent punishment to that teacher was another blatant racist move by a racist mayor. The same mayor who rubbed hands with Eric Holder and Obama when the Black Panthers were caught on video camera strong arming voters right outside the polling stations in Philly with clubs. All charges were dropped by Holder. If the roles were reversed, and it was a black student with a white teacher making a blatantly racist statement like this teacher did, and then went one step further to take the time to leave the classroom and come back with fellow teachers to point out said student and make more racist comments all h*ll would have broke loose in the press. Especially when the student was pulled by the parents for a week not wanting their child to have to be subjected to that kind of treatment in the future.

Racist teacher, racist remark, racist mayor, and racist school superintendent. No reprimands, no administrative leave, no nothing.

Your dodge of reality on this is remarkable.

I don't know if it was racist or not but it certainly injected a racist element toward the student without any reason what so ever.

I think the publicity of it was punishment enough and a wonderful public-service-message.

I always allow that the events could be exaggerated but certainly the teacher was way out of line.

No doubt she serves on the Bully prevention task force at school. She can spot it when everyone else does it.... just not in her self.
