Hi all!

I was just wondering, here in the PH, is it necessary for the petitioner to be present at the interview too? I just read that in some other countries, it is recommended. Our plan is for him to just travel here when it's time for me to go and travel back with me.

its not required at all. and there will be no problem even you're not there in the philippines on the time of the interview of your fiancee/ wife as long as she had all the legal documents and evidence's of your relationship to her.

For sure not necessary for your husband to be there. Have all the required forms and documents, as long as you know your husband as any wife should all is good, all will be just fine.

I was there with my wife but not because I felt it was needed at the embassy, after the interview we relaxed for a couple months before flying home together.

Thanks Hank_! I'm pretty confident about the interview, but for sure will be really nervous when it's near already. Just as well, preparing all the necessary things for it.

My husband's sister will be getting married by end of April next year here in the PH, we thought it best to sync his travel plans to it - to be practical (plus it's hard to get prolonged days off from work for more than 1x a year). Hopefully, we get a January interview schedule so everything will go smoothly with regard to timing of my leave.
