My check was finally cashed a week after I sent my petition. I got my WAC# off the back of the check and have checked my status online for the first time (I've already got the urge to keep checking...). Anyway, now that the check has been cashed, how long does it usually take to get NOA1?

Hi Matt,

You will receive your NOA1 soon. In our case, our check was encashed on October 20, 2006 and my fiance received the NOA1 by snail mail on the 23rd. God bless!! :star:

June 2007 - our "big day"

November 2007 - 2-yr GC received

December 2009 - 10-yr GC received

Citizenship by next year!!!!

All the NOA1 does is tells you that they received your petition and assigned you a case number. In reality you already have it!!! The hard copy will follow.
