wow I got my case number from NVC todaydancin5hr.gif . Problem is I'm not sure if it's of any use to me right now. I thought I could call and schedule interview now but the US number I found online does not work and the NVC rep just said that once the US embassy in beneficiary's country receive your case they will issue your fiancé package 3. What can I do with my NVC case number? Track the package to embassy?

Dee&Tino,

Maybe someone in the Forum for your country has explained how you can use the NVC case number to schedule an interview - before the package from the Embassy arrives? The Embassy in each country can have its own rules for visa applications...so maybe someone in your country's forum will know how to proceed prior to receiving the package....if this is even possible for your country.

For the Philippines...you only have to pay the visa application fee at a specific bank...and provide the payment receipt number and NVC case number when scheduling the interview. I hope it is this simple for your country. There is still a lot to do to prepare for the interview...but it helps a lot if you can start before you receive the official package from the Embassy.

Thank you Winelight

You are right about looking for answers on the country portal. I am sure someone already answered this question but I decided to mention it here since it was taking me so long to browse the questions. I will continue checking on there over the weekend (have a paper to write and submit by midnight tomorrow). I find myself reading and preparing documents for my fiancé's interview even at work and school.... tiredsleepy.gif

I can't wait to get to the point where my fiancé receive the visa. I know my situation could be worst so of course I'm also grateful for making it this far.

It will be 60 days this Sunday sJune 16th since VCS confirmed that they received our RFE. We called USCIS the yesterday and surprisingly we talked to a very nice lady and did a service request for us. Is that going to work? They told us to give them 15 days and then call them back if we dont hear anything from them. Waited 60 days since they said so and then will wait for another 15 days. Wow! What an amazing journey. Sorry for the negative vibes. Anyone who had a successful experience with service request? How many days usually? Thank you!

I know you were worried about this...so I am extremely happy to hear this good news! Please let us know about your interview.

Yeah. It was an amazing feeling when I received the CD. I'm one step closer.

Btw. On my 2nd day, it's the immunization and releasing day. The guard told me to go to the immunization area. While others are asked to go to the releasing area first. After my immunization in which I had 4 shots the nurse told me to go to the releasing area.

In there, I met this young lady (she's immigrating to US) and an old woman I think they noticed me a little worried and they told me that once you got the vaccines it's as good as you passed the medical exam. And that whats happened. :)

I think it's a nice thing to share for my co pinoys. :)

Because 2nd day is the moment of truth. :)

Just my opinion, but it sounds like they are FINALLY starting to give you special treatment. When I entered a Service Request, I was told 30 days. SO...15 days sounds like they have a real plan to escalate your case. I got a reply one week after my e-Request (same as a Service Request to USCIS). I hope you receive similar results...or faster.

That said...they should have responded in 60 days to your RFE if they were doing their job...so I'm not defending USCIS here. Many of us have gone beyond posted or promised response times...including me.

Please let us know what happens in your case.
