For all of you waiting for NVC to receive your approved petition...

I just spoke with NVC by phone. My petition was approved May 28th, but they have not yet received the petition from USCIS. I was told that it usually takes 15 days for NVC to receive the approved petition...and that I can contact them again after 15 days for my case number. They also confirmed that they do nothing with K-1 petitions...other than assign a case number and forward to the appropriate Embassy for visa processing.

I've waited 15 days til I finally got my case number. Keep calling 2x a day. You can ask your fiancé to pay bpi now, that's what I did so when I got my case number I'm all set to set my appointment. :)

Yes...per Madison925...when is the interview?

I'm very curious because I do not know how big is the appointment backup in Manila. I hope to have the case number for my fiancée this week. So...this may help me estimate how far behind you she can expect her interview.

I'm set June 24. But I'm more scared o my medical, as what I said before I just have birth and I'm still having post partum bleeding. I've read in st Luke's site that they they don't recommend going with their monthly period. I gave them a call and told them about me still bleeding and they said they still can't allow it. I'm still gonna give it a try.

For the interview schedule, It's changing every week. Before I schedule my interview, i saw some posts saying that July is the earliest they can get, but I'm lucky there's 2 available slots in June.

My only fear as of now is the medical.

Thanks Pagong.

Maybe your bleeding will stop by the time you have your medical. I read they recommend the medical at least a week before the interview...so maybe you can have the medical next week to give yourself more time to heal.

Thanks for the info on my fiancee not scheduling during her period. Good to know this as I have not read the St. Luke's site yet.

Monday will be 13 days since NOA2 was approved. I will try calling NVC again for the case number.

Do let us know what happens for your medical exam. I hope you pass.

If a person does not pass...do they tell you at St. Luke's...or do you find out at the visa interview?

Ok now i'm confused. My NOA2 says that my case was forwarded to the listed consulate as opposed to saying it was forwarded to NVC.... Should I prepare to call the embassy or NVC? Help plz

No need to call the Embassy. The USCIS "forgot" to add the words "via NVC". So...yes...it IS going to the Embassy...but by route of NVC. Or maybe someone at USCIS does not know the process - LOL.

I would call NVC after 12-15 days to get your case number.

I think they will tell you that on the 2nd day of the medical exam.

I can't do it a week before my interview because I still have lots of things to do. One is the CFO. Ahhhhh. Thank you and u hope you'll get your case number soon.

I think you can do the CFO Counseling session anytime...even before your visa...but the CFO sticker/stamp is obviously after the visa.

That's true, but the only time I have for that is June 18.

When's your fiancé gonna have her CFO?

My fiancee will go to Cebu this week for her Counseling Session. She will stay in Manila after the interview to get her visa at 2GO at Mall of Asia. Then she will get her CFO sticker while in Manila. I will then get her on the first flight to California that fits my budget :-).
