We received our NOA2 on April 11. I called NVC on April 24 and they said they did not have our file from USCIS so they could not give me our case number. They also said it usually takes 14-20 days to receive and give a case number. The Packet 3 email from our local embassy in Chisinau came very early on April 30. I called NVC the same day and got our case number. This all sounds pretty typical for a timeline from what I have seen on others NOA2-NVC-Packet 3 email.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for your help with this info!

Guess we'll patiently wait again!!!

On 4/29 I went to an infopass appointment at my local office. Like on the phone, I was offered no more information than usual..."it's in process". My biggest thing all along has been that I've never been able to check my statues since my receipt number isn't found in the system. So the lady that helped me that day went ahead and put in a service request to see if something could be done about my number and to get and update on my case. I finally received the hard copy of the response in the mail...which is the only way I can get my updates unless I wait on hold for 26 hours. "Your petition for Alien Fiancé (Form I129-F) is presently with an officer. Please allow a minimum of 60 days for this office to review your petition."

A MINIMUM OF 60 DAYS???? Did I just screw myself??? Did I just add 2 months to my 6 month wait?????? Ooohhhhheeeemmmmmmggggggeeeeeee!!!!!!!! What did I do!? Please!! Someone! Tell me I didn't just add 2 months to my processing time! Aaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a "standard" response that a processing center often gives from what I have observed. Some that are told this are approved a few days later. There is no reason to believe you screwed yourself.

LOL

Well that's definitely comforting to read! Thank you.

I called and spoke to a tier-2 rep at USCIS. I kindly stated that my receipt number doesn't work in the system, so I'm just calling to see if there has been any update on my case. The guy spoke to me as if I was so stupid! He said "you called to check last Friday as well." I said, "Yes, but you say that as if my status cannot change from one day to the next!?" THAT ### TOLD ME "it clearly states that it will now take 60 days to process and you are calling after 4 business days". ggguuuhhh....what a jerk!

On May 9, 2013, we mailed a notice to you reaffirming the approval of this case and returned the case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

We had an RFE April 29th and sent them back the additional evidence the next day. Now, I am cofused with what my status saiddry.png

Response will be highly appreciated

It sounds like you are approved because the next step after petition approval is the State Department's NVC (National Visa Center).... before the approved petition goes to the Embassy or Consulate. Still...I would not believe anything until you have the NOA2 in hand.

I'm just wondering how many days does an RFE hardcopy should take?? I'm confused cos our first email notice was on April 24, 2013, 2nd email notice was on April 29, 2013 and now earlier today my fiance just got an email and text saying they sent our RFE on April 24, 2013 again, LOL! So which one is true? we've been waiting for 16 days now. NO HARDCOPY, just weird emails. SIGH!!

I just received an email and text tonight that my I129F petition was approved. I got the NOA1 on Oct. 29, 2012.

I was surprised becasue earlier today I received an email and text that my address was changed relating to my I129F petition. I am not sure what that means.

Wow this thread is up to 38 pages!

It has been a struggle getting through the long wait, I filed the petition on 10/17/2012

received NOA1 on 10/24/2012

Finally NOA2 on 4/24/2012

I called NVC on 5/08/2013 and found out that the petition was sent to the US consulate and I was given a case number

Now I am waiting for the consulate to receive and move forward with the next step.

So far no problems except my own anxiety trying to learn patience.
