I am miserable - icannot understand the delays - all the stupid calls i make to the USCIS - all i am told is i will have a decision with 60 days which would be at this time around 9 months of waiting - our realtionship is going thru a rocky time - the distance is taking its toll - I feel hopeless and helpless :(

I just got this from a USCIS representative...ranting33va.gif NO HELP AT ALL!

Good morning,

USCIS processing times can be found at the following link:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

While the I-129F processing times at the VSC are listed as 5 months, you must also take into consideration the accurate “as of” date. The most recent processing times were posted to the USCIS website on April 3, but they are accurate “as of” February 28 (USCIS must calculate and validate the data before the times are posted to the USCIS website – a process which can take 30-45 days). So, the 5 months is counted back from Feb. 28 – not today’s date. Thus, anything filed before Sept. 28 would be considered outside normal processing times (ONPT). If the next set of processing time indicate that I-129Fs are being processed in 5 months and the accurate “as of” date is March 31 (processing times based on data collected at the end of each month), you would be able to submit an ONPT service request through our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Sincerely,

D. G.

Have you emailed the congressman for your district? Have you called and spoken to a tier 2 rep at USCIS? I called and they did an override on the system (since it is still stating that I am within processing times- NOA1 10/22) and entered a service request for me. They said I'd receive a response by the 11th of May. In the meantime, I have emailed a bunch of Senetors. One responded and is making an inquiry into my case as of yesterday (I had to sign a permission to release information).

I am really frustrated...but, you're 10 days more frustrated than me! :0/

No...you are not the only one left in October as my NOA1 is Oct 11. Receipt numbers before and after me are not yet processed.

I tried my Congressman for assistance a couple weeks ago...and was told it will be processed within 60 days. This was no help at all.

Maybe I will try reaching a Tier 2 rep at CSC...but I have heard that CSC does not entertain formal inquiries until after 7-1/2 months!!!

My fiancé tried to email them a month ago. And just replied yesterday stating that our papers are still in the storage room and have to wait for 45 more days. They even told us that they can't expedite our case, we didn't ask the representative to do that since we're waiting for 7 months now! Goodness!!! Useless for us.

It's frustrating since I'm noticing a lot of late October approvals and now my papers are no where in sight. ;(

I spoke to a Tier 2 rep at CSC today. I was immediately given the standard line that they are now processing July 2012. I had to step in and advise him that he does not have the most up-to-date info on what dates are being processed. I told him many petitions have been approved for Nov and Dec. (My NOA1 is Oct 11). Rather than ask to be processed immediately...I simply asked him for fairness. I told him that a "last come-first serve" process simply is not fair. The rep agreed with me - essentially agreeing that the July date is the standard pitch...and that the reality is as I had stated. He went on to explain that petitions can be sent to a lot of different places for processing...and because of this, and the time for various background checks, one cannot predict how long a given case will take. He directly implied that some early petitions will be processed late because of this. I argued that my case had not even been touched...and that any delay to my case is not related to background checks at all...or even who my case is assigned to. After checking, he again agreed...and simply said my petition is still waiting to be assigned to an officer.... again admitting it is not fair that others filing after me have already been processed. The only thing he could offer me at this point was that I do an eRequest on the uscis.gov site. I told the rep that I did not think my eRequest would be accepted until after 7.5 months (I am almost 7 months now). So...after the call with rep...I tried an eRequest based on his advice. Sure enough...the USCIS site automatically blocked my eRequest with a message that I am still within normal time limits - and cannot make an eRequest.

With a Congressman that was completely useless in this regard (Mike Thompson - California's 5th Congressional District)...and an admitted unfair USCIS process for processing petitions...I have given up trying. I believe prayer can change things...but God does not promise when things will change. I just have to pray for the patience of Job to get through all of this.
