What the approval dates of the one (or ones) you saw? Were they in the last few days? I did find a couple that had approval dates in Feb and March.

We filed at the end of October, so I don't expect to hear anything until next month.

But now I got something else to worry about. I read here on VJ that some people got their visa denied after the interview for lack of income. My US fiancé is in a wheelchair, he is on disability. I have no idea how I'm gonna prove whoever is interviewing me that I wont be a public charge... But one step at a time =)

When you complete the Affidavit of Support (part of the visa application after your petition is approved), you can use a Sponsor that has sufficient income. I hope you have good friends or family with sufficient income and is willing to sign an Affidavit of Support. As I recall...they can add your income with the income of your Sponsor to meet the minimum income requirement. So...both of you would complete an Affidavit of Support in this scenario.

Make sure your country accepts a co-sponsor

His mother and stepfather are willing to sponsor for us. I sent an e-mail to one of the consulates in Brazil, they won't take phone calls. I hope I get an answer, cause I could not find anything on the website.

Thank you all for the help =)

If you are going to the Rio consulate they do accept cosponsors. I have e-mailed an asked more than once to make sure. They do. But you should e-mail as well to make sure :) Good luck!

I believe co sponsor is not allowed for K1 visa petition.

The U.S. Embassy Manila accepts K-1 joint sponsors on a case-by-case basis. I would estimate that they accept joint sponsors up to 50% of the time.

Hello guys,

Its been over 6 months now here.

From what I see, the average high right now is about 8 months. Please correct me if I am wrong. So if it continues that way or gets better, we should be approved in the next month or two.
