gah, I'm sick of it all. I'm sick of waiting, having my life put on hold and not knowing when it will all be over. :crying:

I'm sick of this ridiculous system.

So last week I filed a service request for our K1 once I saw VCS had changed their processing times to 5 months , yesterday I received a letter from the USCS stating that our petition is with an adjudicator and is within the normal processing times and that we should have a decision within 60 days??

If I am at 5 months and 4 weeks and the processing time for VSC is 5 months how can I still be within " normal processing times "

If it’s been assigned to an adjudicator will it really take 2 more months to decide?

why was I allowed to file a service request at all if I was still in normal processing’s times??

how do i get a tier 2 officer? i want to call tomorrow

well I was wondering the same thing when the first person we talked to told us that we are still within normal processing time. helllooo, we are at 6 months on Friday!

and you simply tell the person you talk to that you would like to talk to a tier 2 officer, they know more but I believe they will just tell you to wait until you can put in your service request :( good luck though!

I think the thing is when the processing time says '5 months' you can't put the service request in till after 6 months, if you see what I mean.. You can't file the service request until after the 5 month window.

In the meantime, lets all just CELEBRATE anyway, because at least we're not stuck in the horrific traffic jam that is CSC.. Lets count our lucky stars! :star: :star: :star:

so in my case I can't put it in until the 7 month mark, that's 32 days from today. that has nothing to do with the 5 months processing time though. insane.

good luck to you though!

I'm not celebrating. I honestly feel great for you VSC filers. I wish I was that lucky. There's nothing but doom and gloom at the end of the week here...every week.

I know, that's what I meant - that us VSC people shouldn't complain too much, because at least we have some manner of luck. I feel really bad for the CSCers. :(

We had the same answer from USCIS-to wait more 30-60 days untill we have decission and even if yes we passed the 5th month mark we r still within the normal processing time  ....hope it wont take much to finally have something :-) .... good luck to all of us

the thing is I haven't seen too many approvals this week by Vermont....usually there were a bunch of approvals every Monday and now we are down to like 2 or 3 which worries me. we all feel bad for the CSC filers but no matter where your petition ended up, after 6 months of waiting we all have every right to be upset and impatient. I hope Vermont won't slow down now that we are so close to getting our NOA2.

I wish everyone good luck though cause in the end all we want is to be with our loved one.

Last night I emailed the USCIS ombudsman about my concerns regarding the processing times at CSC and my pending case.

This morning, I received the same response that someone else posted on visajourney yesterday: The processing time at CSC has slipped due to other processing priorities, but they are currently moving resources to the I-129f cases. As they do so, they anticipate the processing time to decrease. (My letter said not to copy and paste it, otherwise I would have posted it here)

Here is the ombudsman email: OLUInquiries@dhs.gov

I suggest everyone write to them. No matter if you just received your NOA1 last week, or if you have been waiting months. It takes 5 minutes to write a couple of sentences about your concern regarding the processing times for K-1 fiance visas at CSC.

It seems they are finally doing something about it, and if we keep the pressure on, maybe they will realize just how bad it has gotten.
