Jeez.. Talk about going completely insane. The September filers are forging on!

Havent checked anyhing. Keeping myself occupied planning to go see my love after 5 months. Im soooo excited.

I wish he was more calmed though. Hes getting frustrated. I know it must be hard. He grew up pretty much here, and going back home was a struggle, but we are paying to god. To my virgin mary. To every saint that we dont wait more than 7+ months. Its not so much about getting married, I just want to jump his bones already!! :P

Hey everyone! We've made it to the 5 month mark! not that it's worth much anymore with the way processing times are going, but at least we're getting closer! Congrats to us all :)

I REALLY hope CSC starts picking up the slack!! It makes it really difficult for my fiance and I to plan our lives when we don't know when the visa will go through!! We are facing a paradoxical situation right now: I (USC) am currently interviewing for teaching jobs for the upcoming school year but I'm reluctant to sign a year-long contract without knowing when the visa will go through! On one hand, if I accept the job and for some reason the visa doesn't go through, I'll have to back out of a signed contract and move abroad on short notice. On the other hand, if I put off signing a contract to wait for the visa to go through then I'll likely be without a job which defeats the purpose of us living in the U.S. We've decided to stay confident about the process and just wait it out.. there's no reason that we should be denied *(knock on wood)*. but it's hard not to imagine the worse case scenario.

It's really frustrating to have our future PENNDIINNNG upon the ultimate decision of the government and to have no control in the matter.. I'm sure you all understand my frustration!!

Anyway, I hope these upcoming months go by in a breeze and that we will all have NOA2s & Interview dates very soon so that we can all get back to the arms of our loved ones (L)^_^

I think you have a best chance of filing an expedite, you have a compelling reason to file an expedite.

They'll probably turn off all of the servers in the data center and head to Nassau for a retreat.

WOW -- I never thought of that! It doesn't hurt to try! Today I requested an expedite under the criteria of "severe financial loss" (aka-- the job).

Thank you SO much for the idea!!! I really appreciate the sincerity of the gesture.

That's why this site is so great -- people who really wish each other the best and help each other out, with no personal benefit... Except karma! You've got good karma coming your way!! :star: I hope it comes in the form of a speedy approval!! ;)

I'll let you know how the expedite request turns out!

Gosh, it's so nice to find a post specifically for Oct 2012 filers!! I got my NOA1 on the 1st of October, still waiting for that NOA2, getting pretty frustrated (I know 5.5 months is not much compared to what others have waited) but it's nice to be able to talk to others who know what we're going through. Haven't seen my fiance in 2 months now and every day is getting harder to deal! :(

Jimmy, I appreciate your optimism, but they have a better chance of selling shaving cream to the Taliban.
