hello everyone!

Im so confusing about the income of my fiancee..He is self employed working with 3 different management and he got 3 sheets of paper of 1099 every year of his working place so when i add everything his income it came up 40thousand plus every year..so now i was very confused becoz when i look at his 1040 in year 2009 it was stated there line 22 the total income is only 15 thousand plus..how come his 1099 total income was 40thousand plus when i add the 3 sheets of paper?do we also get 3 sheets of paper with the 1040 for each 1099???is it possible u can get 3 papers of 1040 yearly or its only one at the time with the total amount of your income with different working place..please need help!!!!

he probably had tax write-offs for being self employed. Your best bet is to have him get the tax transcripts. also, you dont NEED 3 years of tax transcripts if his previous year is above the poverty line. If he needs to show long time pay or just barely makes it above the poverty line, then you should use 3 years tax returns.
