Hi everyone. My whole journey has been a nightmare and now this!! So we had our interview already to meet an immigration officer to get our case for I 485 approved. This was back in July. We drove from Rosamond to Fresno. Took us about 4hrs and our Appt was booked for 7am so we left at like 3 am!! Got there stood in line. Only to find out that after waiting and waiting our immigration officer came out and had this sorry look on his face He told us that he is soo sorry but they don't have our paperwork!!! OH MY GOD They had requested it from Los Angeles Office a couple months before and then again couple weeks before our interview. But it was still sitting at Los Angeles office while we were sitting in Fresno. UNBELIEVABLE! But I just didn't even bother with arguing or anything I just wanted to cry. Me and my husband were so mad. Could you guys imagin.

So I got another interview and now my husband has been sent away to Texas for Training. I have his orders But before I make that treacherous drive. I was hoping I could get some advice onto wether i should go by myself or not???? Has anyone been to an interview without their husband and gotten approved? I've heard that there are some suceesful cases but I wanted to see what my chances were like?

Can anyone shed some light on this matter ? I wouls much appreciate it.

Thankyou to all visa journey members"

So Thankyou thankyou thankyou everyone on visa journey who helped me answer my questions.

So here's what happened... I had my interview today to. My husband is TDY right now in Texas like I said above :D:thumbs: I bought with me a copy of his special orders from the military and they were going to APPROVE everything today!!!! I had alllllll of my paperwork evidence and Id's etc etc. The lady was reallly nice. But to my HUUUGE DISSAPPOINTMENT!! This Doctor that I decided to see when I did my I-693. A civilian Doctor because It said it had to be a civilian doctor so I couldn't get it off of my Doctor at the military base.??? Hmmm yea i thought this was a bit of a silly rule but hey we gotta follow the rules huh. SO this civilian Doctor did not tick of a box ( 1 BOX!!) SO she couldn't complete signing of my papers and therefore could not approve my package!! AAARCGH!

Gosh If only these professionals could pay just a little bit more attention and get these simple things right because. Right then at that tiny fraction of a moment he made SUCH A HUUGE difference to my life! I hope he does not make these mistakes when prescribing medicines or something even more seriouse than that. Wow i could not believe someone who knows how Extremely important this would be would act so carelessly. I guess still we can;t all be perfect huh  But its ok she felt bad for me because I had been through so much with this whole AOS thing that she said she'll hold my package in her office for a week and that I don't need to drive back. I can mail the paper in to her. Once she recieves it from the Doctor she will add it to my file and APPROVE meee YAAAAAAAY. Thank god!!!!

Hopefully this goes smoothly lol. Wish me Luck guys.

And Again Thankyou soooo much to everyone on visa journey!! I LOVE Visa Journey (L)

Good to know it worked out ...... almost. At least you don't have to drive back.

Was it a different officer who interviewed you today? I mean, was it the same person who couldn't see you the last time?

It's good information to see that they will accept military orders as a good reason to go on with the interview.

we drove all the way to cleveland. left early from work so we wouldnt be late and had breakfast since we had enough time. payed for a parking deck just to get up in the immigration office and have our lawyers secretary run in and tell us they didnt have our papers yet so they cancelled the apointment. what a dissapointment.

finally got a new interview and still almost a year later waiting on the appoval. what a pain in the butt.
