So it's been five month's today since my NOA1. The waiting game is killing me. Waiting, waiting, waiting some more. UGH! Speed it up Vermont, will you?! Any advice on anything anyone? It's actually been six and a half month's since I've seen Daniel so it's getting hard to cope...

Try to be patient :( wait a lil bit longer and if you reach the 6 month deadline, you should consider involving your congressman so he may speed things up. I read some topics and getting you congressman involve is been very helpful in some cases. Hoping you get your noa2 soon, and dont need any of this

Hei Kristy - I recall what it's like just sitting there sighing for the past months of the process. I hadn't seen my husband throughout 9 months. It tough because it's the same every day; no news from USCIS. If possible, try to avoid USCIS check status for a week or so and focus on your relationship as if USCIS wasn't involved in anything. It's easy to "blame" them for keeping your apart from each other. It's hard to focus on the joy of a relationship when USCIS is taking so much of your good mood.

While it almost sounds cheesy, remember your thoughts right now, and then for every time you awake next to your future husband, remind yourself of those thoughts. Makes the days seem much more worth it, and your time as well.

I had my husband send me a shirt of his once in a while via snail mail. He took the computer outside, while fixing motorcycle, or playing around with his son. I took him on a tour of my hometown that way. It was a pleasure not sitting in a room staring at a screen. I think that's half of what made me feel lonely/depressed because it literally feels as if that's all you do.. Waiting.

Keep smiling - you're so much closer to being with your SO than the last time you met. And this is the very last time you'll have to do paperwork on different continents.
