Hello everyone,

I'm currently planning to file form I-130 to sponsor my recently married spouse in Vietnam. We've been in a relationship since 2008. We do not live together since I had school and work in the US, but I did visit her in 2008, 2011, and 2012. We have not had any children yet.

I have followed the instructions, have everything on the list according to the guide (marriage certificate, birth certificate, citizenship paper), but there are a few points I need clarification:

  1. G-325A: My spouse has limited English, Can I fill out for her but she signs?

Regarding the evidence of Bona Fide Marriage, we DO NOT have:

  • Joint bank account
  • Joint lease residence
  • Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources
  • affidavits sworn by 3rd parties

But we do have loads of photos (including wedding photos), videos, and yahoo messenger chat logs.

What do you think about my situation? Must I include the Affidavits sworn by 3rd party to verify the marriage is real?

I appreciate any input!

The affidavits aren't that important. Show the development of your relationship from first meeting to present. Include evidence such as mentioned by AnhDoiEm.

You can complete the forms and have her sign them.

Write up a timeline of the relationship and submit it with the petition. Front loading is a good idea when going through HCMC consulate.

NO.. he can't sign for her.. he can fill out the form, email it to her and she can print and sign it. But if he signs that can be an issue... it's called falsifying a govt document... or in other words forgery.

I can't find airplane tickets for my previous 2 trips, only my 2012 trips. But If I send in 2012 ticket, wouldn't that raise questions, they may ask why only 1 ticket?

entry/exit stamps in the passport will show that you were there, but photos over time are great.
