So last week I received an RFE that stated the following:

The document you submitted is not an original or certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate government authority. The document must be an original, or a certified copy of the original, bearing the original seal or stamp from the issuing authority.

So I resent the requested documents ORIGINALS with the seals and states In the Supreme Court of Judicature of JAMAICA with the signature of a judge. The rep told me this too was denied what more can I give them. WTH are they looking for. Could the person how check it in make an error.. Please someone help me I am at work and con not stop crying. I can't take much more..

What action can I take AGAIN please HELP me someone anyone

Do you know which specific document they are talking about?

I have never been married so it was for my husband (Jamaican citizen). His previous marriage was in Jamaica and that is where the divorce took place as well. They requested the certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate government authority. So I sent them the Certified copy of the original Decree Absolute. With the raised seal and there is a red stamp and them a blue stamp that says supreme court Matrimonial division. It also states that I Commnore Bennett Deputy registrar of the supreme Court of Judicature of JAMAICA do hereby that the foregoing page is a true copy of the original decree absolute between Jane Doe and the petitioner and John doe granted on the 24th day of December 2010.

Yes it has the original Signature that Is why I am freaking out so. I feel like tell them to bumbo Ras Klot... Err Life's Journey thanks for being on top of this for me and please keep in in touch with this topic. I know you are pretty knowledgeable with this stuff and your comments so far are helping me clam down I am just a wreck

How would you have an orginal signature if it's a certified copy. A certified copy would be a copy of the orginal.

Well after it states:

That not what I am looking for babes, The divorce decreed should have been signed by a Judged granting that the divorce was finalized.

Not the certified information, but information about the divorce.

That is a recent copy, so they should have accepted it.

Pinktrion, something is missing on the div decree

A divorce decree is an official legal document that is signed by the judge once a divorce has been granted. The decree serves as physical proof that the marriage between the two parties has been legally dissolved, and dictates matters relevant to the divorce, such as division of assets and property.

That's what I am asking about. Genrally the copy from the courthouse does not have the judge orginial signature. Therefore if you remove the information about the certifed copy would there be a Judge signature?

I am so confused!!! I know you are very knowledgeable Life's Journey but I can't see what is missing here, this is ridiculous. This is what they requested.. I can't think straight right now, I feel so sick....

Also the front has all the full details of the divorce and names, dates, the judge that originally granted this divorcee. I am just at a loss for words. Do you have a personal email I can forward to you, don't really want this kind of Document on VJ, as it has very personal information...

Read my post above, the judge who signs the certified inormation is not the judge who granted the divorce.

Along with the judge name is his signature on the divorce decree?
