Well, they indeed lost my photos. It had a big "no photos" sign on the top of my case folder, saw it myself. So I guess it is always useful to have a few with you.

Interview passed in 15 minutes, waiting for the ceremony now.

Hi all - for those whose biometrics have already been taken, did you realize that the last update date in your USCIS account changed to the date when your biometrics were taken or stayed the same date

I will post the following about his interview yesterday:

"Officer was very friendly, an older black woman. I said my oath to tell the truth. She got right into the citizenship test. She asked 1. Who signs the Bills? 2. What was the main concern of the cold war? 3. Who becomes president if something happens to the president? Don't remember the other 3 questions. We mostly talked about Israel (she had been there), my twins, and about cruises (since I had written our vacation cruise on the N400. She looked at my file and said everything looks in order, stamped a bunch of stuff, asked me questions about 'did I commit a crime, etc' and said 'ok you are good to go'. She said I would get a letter in the mail for taking my oath in front of a judge, they happen every month she said."

So all in all he was approved and we are waiting for the letter for the oath.

I just wanted to add, that he took all kinds of forms, documents, and she never asked for anything, no photos, no birth certificate, no taxes, etc. Also, he had not updated his drivers license before he had the interview. We had moved from Iowa 6 months ago, and changed our address with Immigration, but have procrastinated with the license. She did notice that it was an Iowa license, and not a MN license, and my husband just kind of brushed it off and said he hadn't gotten around to changing it yet, but she didn't care. I'm sure if it was another officer they might have made more of an issue about it, but this lady was pretty nice to him (and also my husband is good looking and charming, so women tend to like him, especially older women), so that might have played a role too, LOL.

Second thing I want to mention is our "change of address I867" with immigration. We had moved a couple of times, and each time we were always late filing those forms. So when I filled out the N400, I wasn't sure if I should write the actual date we moved....or should I write the date I moved according to the AR-11 and I867 (which differed). I ended up just writing the true dates we moved, even though they were slightly different than we wrote on the I867 and AR-11. Anyways, that never came up as an issue, and I seriously doubt they actually look closely at the AR11 I867 forms and look at whether or not the dates match up to what is written on the N400.

those were the 2 issues I was concerned with, which never came up.

i am so very happy with the results, and our whole immigration process went completely smoothly and quickly. Literally 3 years to become a citizen, and it only took about 5 months for him to get his CR-1 visa initially (we filed married, abroad at the consulate in Israel). I'm just happy that I don't need to do anymore paperwork, and save all those files and bills, etc. Plus, it's a lot of money to pay all of this stuff.

I also wanted to say that this forum is priceless for information and help in the immigration process. You don't need a lawyer if you read everything and know ahead of time what is required. it just takes a little time and effort. So good luck to everyone else.

Now we just wait on the oath ceremony, and he can get his passport and we are good :)

Hello everyone!

Thought I'd pop in here and update my info on the list.

I received my interview appointment letter on the 17th of Dec. 2012 and was scheduled to appear for testing and interview on the 17th of this month.

They changed my local office to Jacksonville for the interview and I was so glad as the office in Jax was very efficient and professional as compared to New Orleans!

I was given the N-652 after my interview and was told that I passed and that I should expect a letter in the mail in about a week for my oath taking.

Will be back to update my info when I get that oath taking appointment.

To those that are still waiting for their interview, hang in there. The end is near. :D

It has been a while, hope everyone is doing well.

My interview was on the 16th of January, it was fairly easy.

The officer went through the yes/no questions and asked the six questions, I wish I could remember them. I always thought why people forgot the questions after the interview. Now, I understand.

Today, I received the oath ceremony letter and it is on the 4th of February.

I can't get the chart to work for me, so I am just here after several years of not posting to report that my spouse's interview went well today. No issues came up. I was asked to wait outside, so I handed her the documents. Twenty minutes later she emerged smiling. We are just waiting for the oath letter at this point. Fingers crossed.

My wife's interview was on January 14th and the officer told her to expect the Oath Ceremony letter fairly soon. I was beginning to worry a bit since we hadn't received it yet but checked the status online today and saw the following; "On January 21, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled."
